My Life With Cancer: A Pictorial

Life goes on.....choose to participate.

Sean & Michael Jackson in Hollywood.

Don and the kids.

Word is starting to spread that I have cancer.  What wonderful support!

Took Stacy to her follow-up visit after hip surgery. Being of service keeps your mind off things.

John Riley, on our way to camping.  Don took me camping before starting chemo.

Stacy & I before we head out to camp in Kernville.

The gang heading out to camp in style.  We had 2 fifth wheels!

Having fun with punking me out before shaving it all off.
I'm a punk.

My first chemo session.  I think this is the Adriamycin.

I took Angel to her follow-up visit for a leg injury that resulted in numerous staples.  Ouch!

My last days of work were in April, and I was #1 on the board!

Angel joins us for my 2nd chemo session.

Look at me!  I'm getting chemo!

Don acting very serious.  Thanks, Angel!

Grace, my wonderful Oncology RN who took such good care of me, with love and humor.

Don and his surgical glove impression of Blue Man Group.

I almost peed laughing so hard in my chemo lazy boy.

The red instant rash I get from chemo.

Small capsules filled with inspirational quotes.  This was sent to me by my dear, wonderful childhood friend Andrea in Denver, CO.

View of the Lake just outside our RV door.  Sweet!

Bundled up with Riley while camping.

Watching big screen movies on the side of the RV.  Now THIS is camping in luxury!
My boo boo Riley got shaved at the groomers!

PICC line insertion procedure.  I was a nervous wreck.

Once it was inserted, I got fascinated by all the blood.

Nervous smile.

My PICC certified RN, Mirna.
I really squirted a lot of blood when she inserted the PICC line.  This mess was on the floor.
Grace, Me & Stacy during my 4th chemo session.  Thanks for taking me, Stacy!

ER visit for high fever (102.5 degrees).  WBC shot up from 2.3 to 10.5 meaning there was an infection brewing somewhere.
